If you have already read first part of our roadtrip in Scotland then let’s move on with the second part! Whilst I am just giving you all the details, I noticed that it might make no sense to have those places here with weird names:) Where is Oban, Fort William? Which part of Scotland here are we talking about..Below is the iconic route we have done.
So today’s aim again is to amaze you with wonderful pictures. it is my responsibility to warn you these views belong to Summer period, the ending week of July. Yes this is what called as summer in Scotland:))
Let’s start first with some beautiful views from the road to Oban. This beautiful church and many others might take your attention along the road but this one seemed to us very ancient and we thought it was worth to visit. Yes it was. Yet the thing is it is not as old as we thought. It was just built decades ago by an architecture who really wanted it to look like a very old church. Yes he did it, at first sight you were like waaowww…many people who didn’t read the information front, still think it is a lovely historic church:)
The view is amazing and the writings on the stones are in very old english. I don’t have enough knowledge on this. As other languages, English went a long way to form its today version yet still Scottish and Irish people have their own languages which probably influence each other.
Climbing to Mc Caig’s Tower is well worth the effort when you faced with the view from top of the village. It is overlooking to beautiful village and the islands in Atlantic ocean.
A very rich banker would like to erect this tower and he inspired from Roman and Greek
architecture. So you would see similarities with Colosseum, Rome.
Another day would have started with a journey to Fort William! This is the place particularly me looking forward to seeing due to my own reasons:) This is the place where Skyfall movie was filmed and if you wish to visit the exact castle in the movie, you need to park and walk through the paths of these enormous mountains. They have a special structure and name which is Glencoe!
Glencoe is on the way to Fort William where many people would go for a ski holiday in Ben Nevis.
This time of the year, we could only be able to take a lift to top of the mountain and drink beer.
