you may know other places more delicious than Oberweis around the world. However, it is best of the best for me up to now. It is also beyond the famous parisienne desserts and also Ladurée..
Oberweis bakery is an icon where royal wedding ceremony cakes are also prepared and Michelin-starred chefs are being employed. Not only the desserts but also foods like trifles makes you crazy to taste every kind of it.
In the first place, its building and Luxembourg public may hesitate you before coming inside. Its luxurious design and the behaviour of employees make you feel like in a palace 🙂 After coming inside, you face with a huge crowd sitting at three kinds of different floor and the patisserie at every floors.
At the entrance, this cute dog met us and I think its strap place will tell you more than I can ever say about this impressive place ;)))
Each dessert and food has its own specialty and its own number. People generally know what to eat and they try to take their best taste before it is finished. Each day a specific number of taste is prepared and they are consumed until the end of the day. So, it is not possible to find your favorite taste at any time during the day.
the design of the place, polite and gentle waiters, colours of desserts, their shapes, their flavours, variation of foods, desserts, chocolates, macarons, its favorable prices….all of these combinations make you addictable 😉 I do not say this as a women ;)) Please trust me..my husband lost himself here as a dessert hater, yes that’s right;)
The colours are eye-catching and look like they’ve been specially styled for a food photography shoot. Jeff and Tom Oberweis, brothers in business, were only two weeks old when their parents started this new chocolatary business at 1964. They are still wearing a chef’s jacket, they explain, “we design everything ourselves. We constantly have two people working on research and development. We have close contact with French, German and Belgian pastry chefs. Luxembourg is very small so we can go abroad and see and taste the best from other countries, then make it in our own way, the way of Oberweis.” They are second generation who run 24 million euro profit each year. “It’s clearly defined how we should present our cakes and chocolates – the colours and everything – so when the customer comes into our shops they get the same impression. They should come in and it is an Oberweis universe. You should come in and be happy. That’s what I want,” Tom Oberweis said.

mille-feuille (thousand sheets) ;))
at the end here is my choice 😉 turkey rolls on top of a cake (a cake like mille feuille) and cauliflower, tomatoes, carrots between these rolls are crazy enough! of course there are many spices and sauces between mille feuilles and it is marvellous…the lighest sweeties and food I have ever eaten..I think the trick is about flour, sugar and chefs 😉
